ABOUT
My mission is to tell real stories about people’s lives and capture authentic moments that are meaningful and worth sharing.
Originally from Japan, I grew up surrounded by mountains and nature. Living in Canada and experiencing different cultures has shaped the way I observe people, communities, and the world around me. My Japanese background, combined with my experience of living in a multicultural environment, allows me to approach stories from different perspectives with curiosity, empathy, and an open mind.
Through photography, I aim to look beyond the surface and explore the people, experiences, and circumstances behind each story. I believe that documenting everyday life, social issues, important events, and meaningful moments can help people better understand one another.
My primary interests are documentary photography, photojournalism, and visual storytelling. I am also passionate about environmental portraits, corporate and studio portraits, sports photography, event coverage, and food photography.
In addition to still photography, I create video content, including behind-the-scenes videos, interviews, short-form videos, and documentaries. Whether I am working with photographs or video, my goal is to create honest and thoughtful visual stories that reflect the people and moments in front of me.
I am currently based in Calgary, Alberta, and I am available for editorial, documentary, portrait, event, and multimedia projects.
